Our guiding principles

…achieve meaningful environmental outcomes beyond what any single municipality or stakeholder could achieve by itself.

Contribute

…to sustaining the health, resiliency, availability, and quality of the waters of the Saco River headwaters and watershed

Avert threats

… and address changing development and climate pressures to protect water resources for the human and natural populations of the Saco Headwaters Watershed, today and as a legacy for the future.

Use science

…and apply evidence, accepted principles, and social and economic realities to all projects and actions.

Build trust

… through collaboration, dialogue, and commitment, and respect the authority and proprietorship of all municipalities, organizations, businesses, and residents in the watershed to achieve outcomes beyond what any single stakeholder could achieve alone.
